Surprise Rooftop Engagement

A few weeks ago, a dear friend of mine asked me to help out with his proposal to his girlfriend. His idea was to surprise her on her rooftop in Hollywood at sunset, with all her close friends by her side. How romantic! I was thrilled to be a part of such a magical event!

The lovely Caitlin of Cup My Cakez provided the most AMAZING treats and they were all gluten free, dairy free, vegan, artificial free and non GMO... and don't be fooled by the lack of butter in these babies... they taste every bit as delicious as they look!! Honestly, no one could believe they were gluten free and vegan. It's just not possible for them to taste that good! Is it??

A Glamorous 30th Birthday in the Woods

This year we celebrated Jessica's husbands 30th birthday at a cabin in Big Bear, CA. We created a color pallet worthy of this momentous occasion but also complimented our adventurous backdrop.

Real Parties: Penelope's Indian Summer Birthday Party

We were recently contacted by Tiny Whales designer and owner, Brittany Wagoner, to make the decorations for her little Penelope’s 3rd birthday. We were beyond excited since the theme was - you guessed it - Indian Summer!  I can’t think of a better color pallet for a mid-October birthday. All these bright colors looked amazing, don’t you think?

It's not a party without a piñata! We were really excited to get to make this gorgeous piñata… l love the cream. And how cute is this piñata stick! I can’t get enough! We filled it with colorful confetti, plastic jewelry, and granola bars. 

We also made custom feather crowns for each of the girls. These little glittery crowns were a huge hit and we suspect little Penelope has yet to take hers off!

All of the fabulous details that went into this little princess’s party were amazing! Brittany was incredibly crafty. We love this custom polka dot tepee and these fabulous glittery mason jars.

Holiday DIY Party with Katie Dean Jewelry + Junim LA // Free Download

We are so excited to share our holiday DIY day with you! We compiled a few easy ways to spice up your holiday season using our favorite material: PAPER! We are in love with these adorable origami ornaments and are pleased to have them available for download on our site! Just cut and fold on the dotted line. Use a paint brush and some white glue to seal them up.

Real Parties: JUNIM Anniversary Party

We are obsessed with Los Angeles designer JUNIM and their line of fabulous chunky cropped jackets and hand dyed silk pullovers. This year, JUNIM celebrates their 2 year anniversary and the grand opening of their beautiful new studio. Designer Haley Solar asked us to create some simple decorations to dress up her event last weekend and we couldn’t be more excited to share our creations with you today!  Not to mention, the amazing clothes that JUNIM was showcasing!

It took a bit of brainstorming, but we eventually came up with a concept that wouldn’t compete with Hayley’s line of amazing clothes, but rather compliment them…  We used leftover scraps from her silk pullovers and created these delicate ribbons that hung from the barn doors of her studio.  They remind me of sunsets and cotton candy and melted ice cream… so in love!

Real Parties: BAMBINO! Baby Shower

 Our good friend Caitlin had a shower recently and we jumped at the opportunity to make the decorations for her party. We wanted to do something whimsical and cute but also boyish. We used mint, cream, red and tan and went with a “Vintage Muscle Car” theme. 

For this party, we included several items from our small, medium and large boxes. We made tassel garlands, giant balloons with tassel tails, pom pom skewers, 3 mini piñatas and custom posters.    

We love the versatility of these pom pom skewers! Here, we displayed them in a vase, but they can be used as cupcake toppers, cake toppers, drink stirrers and more!

The décor was a huge hit and the mom to be couldn't be happier!
